The Sewing Studio – Covid 19 Safe Guidance
Currently the studio has been rearranged to allow for a maximum of three participants with their own individual space to use, to allow for 2 metres between individuals for the majority of the time.
Participants should not attend if they or anyone they live with has had a fever or any other symptoms such as coughs, sickness or vomiting or loss of taste or smell, or has been in contact with anyone displaying Covid-19 symptoms, suspected of having Covid-19 or has had a Covid-19 positive test result at least 24 hours before the start of the workshop or class.
All participants will be required to monitor their temperature and health prior to attendance.
Participants will be required to sanitise their hands upon entering the studio, and before using studio equipment. Sanitiser is available in the studio for this as well as alcohol cleaning spray.
It is recommended that participants bring their own small sewing equipment. Machines will still be available for use when attending. These will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each individual teaching session. Each work area is equipped with an iron and board for one participant use. This will also be cleaned before and after each session.
A range of equipment is available for shared use. If it is required, hand sanitiser should be applied before using and the equipment will be cleaned after each usage. Please feel free to bring any additional equipment of your own if you wish to avoid shared usage.
It is recommended that participants bring their drinks or at the very least their own cup or glass.
All participants (and the tutor) agree that every effort will be made to keep to the 1m+ social distancing advice at all times where possible. All parties also agree to assist each other in being aware of personal distance whilst entering and within the studio.
If close proximity is required for teaching or fitting purposes then both participant and tutor will both be required to wear face coverings.
Please make sure you bring a face covering with you.
If there are any questions or concerns about this guidance then please contact me in advance of the workshop or class starting.
These guidelines will be under constant review and amended as guidance changes or as necessary.
